Hi!

We no longer allow your website to be edited on a mobile browser. Instead, download the Jimdo app to keep your website up-to-date wherever you are! Jimdo apps

Web Browsers

To use Jimdo, all you need is a computer, an internet connection, and a web browser. We recommend using the Google Chrome web browser because it updates automatically. Jimdo also works with most major browsers, as you can see in the list to the right.

Google Chrome (from Version 40)
Mozilla Firefox (from Version 40)
Apple Safari (from Version 10)
Microsoft Internet Explorer (from Version 11)

Mobile App

To use the Jimdo mobile app, you need a smartphone / iPhone or a tablet / iPad.

You can download the iOS app in the Apple App Store, and the Android app in Google Play. More information about the apps.

Android (from Version 4.4)
Apple - iOS (from Version 9)

Note: Our mobile app offers many options for editing your website on the go. There are limitations, however, so please use the editor on a computer to take full advantage of all Jimdo functions and features.

Other System Requirements

JavaScript and Cookies

It is necessary that JavaScript and cookies are enabled in your browser in order to use the Jimdo editor. These features are usually automatically enabled unless you disable them.

Enabling Cookies

When you visit websites on the Internet, the data will be saved as a "cookie." You will need to activate cookies in your browser if you haven't already.

Enabling JavaScript

JavaScript is a software that must also be activated and kept up to date in order to use the Jimdo editor. You will need to activate JavaScript in your browser if you haven't already.

Flash Player and Security Software

You will need to install the latest version of Flash Player for the editor to work properly. Find out which version you have, and download the most recent version if you don't already have it.

If you still experience problems, try deactivating your internet security software (e.g. ad blocker, script blocker, or firewall). Browser add-ons can also cause the editor to not work properly.

Tips for Common Problems

Clear the Browser Cache

If you are not seeing your website or the changes you've made, try clearing your browser's cache. This will allow you to view the most updated version of your website.
